WASHINGTON - Oct 10/08 - SNS -- Dairy product prices will be lower than initially expected in the United States in 2008-09, according to the latest supply and demand forecasts from the USDA's World Agricultural Outlook Board.

Cheddar Cheese prices received for US 40 pound Blocks averaged $1.92 per pound for the week ending October 4. The price per pound increased 7.1 cents from the previous week. The price for US 500 pound Barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.93 per pound, up 4.1 cents from the previous week.
